Memorial Day ~Remembering and Watermelon Star Cake 3 comments

Memorial Day

These ideas look so fancy, but you won’t believe how easy they are to make!

Watermelon Star Cake

A holiday that started as Decoration Day back during the civil war to
remember the fallen soldiers who lost their lives but by the 20th Century was
extended to honor all solders who have died in all wars.

Memorial Day is the beginning of summer, a long weekend, BBQ’s with the family,
and remembering the men and women that have fought for us in wars past,
remembering those men women and children that vanished on 9-11,
remembering our loved ones that have passed, visiting graves to reflect and
place flowers at their graves!
And this year 2017 we are remembering Manchester and all those that lost their lives in  a target to take
little girls in a horrific bombing outside a concert,
Taking little girls lives is so sad and sad that we are dealing with this no matter in America or abroad.
I remember and think of them all, they are sad times, Praying for their families and loved ones.
Memorial Day is a day that is designated to remember!

*A national moment of remembrance takes place at 3 pm local time and you can find National Cemeteries below
Another tradition is to fly the flag of the United States at half-staff from dawn until noon local time.

Volunteers often place American flags on each grave site at National Cemeteries. *Wikipedia
