If you are a perspective blogger and you wonder where to start building a blog, it is best to choose a fairly easy layout so you are not overwhelmed.

What goes in Tabs/Pages across your blog Include
About Me Page
Contact Me Page
Media Page

What goes into a sidebar
In the sidebar you should include
A Logo
Social Media Links Twitter, Pinterest, Facebook
Set up categories
Signup for subscribers
Recent Comment Widget
Search Bar

Footer Area
In this area you could include banners for affiliations or ads

Banner/Header
You can either have just the name or create a banner to represent your blog

This is truly a first time, basic guide of what to start with. There are so many variations based on personal preference and for the DIY person. You can always hire a blog designer to create a more elaborate blog for you as well. There are many that include a banner, logo, background based on theme. Or you can start in Blogger that is free or go to WordPress.com which is is free to start yourself. If you decide on a name, you can apply for a domain name.

No matter what you decide it can be easy and fun to have your own blog, for many reasons, whether you cook, want to share what your family does or to share craft projects, the sky is the limit!! Even to earn money!!
