Soda Cracker Toffee

1 c. butter
1 c. brown sugar
36 saltine crackers
12 oz. chocolate chips
1/2 c. crushed walnuts

Spread a large cookie sheet with foil, spray with Pam. Place crackers close together to form bottom layer. In small saucepan, place butter and brown sugar, heat to boil 4 minutes. Spread evenly over crackers. Crackers

Bake at 375 degrees for 5 minutes. Crackers after baking

After 5 minutes of baking

Remove, sprinkle with chocolate chips evenly over top. Wait a few minutes, then spread with spatula. Sprinkle with nuts. Cool in refrigerator. Break into pieces.

I like to let these cool completely in fridge then use the edges of the foil to lift from pan and set on hard surface to cut. You can cut these in squares or like below brake apart
