Scheduling Blog Posts Tutorial

Schedule a Post

I am sure that many new bloggers wonder how to schedule a post. First i thought I would share some reasons why you would want to schedule your posts to appear in the future

♦Prepare a post while your are away
♦So that you can have posts written in advance so that you dont have to jump out of bed to get a new post up for your readers.
♦Prepare a post while your are away
♦So that you can have posts written in advance so that you dont have to jump out of bed
to get a new post up for your readers.

So with that said lets get started:

In WordPress you will go to your dash board, prepare your post, then on the righthand side you will see the Publish module. From there you will set a future date and time when you want your post to appear on your blog. The only thing that can be confusing is that it is Military Time and I use a chart I found so if I forget. http://www.militarytimechart.com/

Ok so once you have selected the date and time for your post, click on Publish. And just so you know by looking at the Publish module, you will see that is now Scheduled for………..

You can Un-Schedule a Post
Reason, you might want to republish a past post, so this is how that is accomplished.
Go to the post you want to re-schedule……….Use the Edit…at that point you can make your choice for date and time you want this to post, then click on Publish.
