Many questions arise when a blog goes offline or when it cant be found, links are broken, and you can’t find a post. I have been having this experience lately and was just informed by my Webmaster that his server has been overloading. So I wanted to let you know that my blog will be going offline at 7:00 PM PST and will be offline for 8 hours so that the servers can upgraded to handle the load of blogs and websites it serves. This will provide better service for all those that are hosted on my servers. Im fortunate, to be notified that this is coming so I can provide you with this information.
It can be a bit disturbing to go to a link, say from a linky or Google plus, to find an error or a blank page, I have even found this when visiting other blogs recently, and more times than not the blog owner is totally unaware.
I have even had these effect my own blog posts, where “someone has left me a comment” and then something goes wrong with their blog, (It effects my blog and is called a broken link) I have to hunt this down and fix it so that the post will still be available.
If you have ever experienced “Broken Links” or have not yet, chances are you will at some point in your blogging, run into this situation. I hope not, but I have read it is inevitable.
There’s nothing worse than to have someone email you, they cant find a link that you have been promoting, I had this happen this week, and I dont like it. I want my blog to work perfect 24-7. It feels like someone just punched me in the gut, like I did something wrong, And even though all my plugins on WordPress are in working order it can still happen. Fortunately I have a great webmaster that is helping me resolve the “broken link syndrome”.
