Lindy’s Stamp Gang March Challenge 18 comments

Each month Lindy’s Stamp Gang puts on a Color Challenge, though we are welcome to use our own creativity in picking colors. I tired to choose as close as possible and used some new products from their online store; Alpine Ice Rose Starburst and California Poppy Gold Starburst sprays. They have so much sparkle and I hope you can see it in the photos. Ok so first I wanted to create some texture, I have been wanting to try, so I cut some cardboard, painted it with Gesso, then added gauze with Modpodge, and then for more texture I used paste in several places and sprayed and stamped color using the Starburst sprays in both colors. I added this layer on top of card stock that I also used Gesso on to tone down the back ground.
Lindy Stamp Challenge #6 All of the flowers are made of paper that I made and some are made with coffee filters using Tim Holtz Tattered Floral big die and scrapbooking paper and then added the sprays to blend with the card.
Lindy Stamp Challenge #5 PNG The flowers on the left above are made with the coffee filters then with some added details and again using the Starburt spray to color and then curled the edges. I think they turned out really pretty. I will be making more of these for future use.Lindy Stamp Challenge #4 PNG The flowers in the left hand corner are the ones made with scrapbook paper and I added details to give them more of a real flower look. I learned this from Jennibellie Flower Tutorial on YouTube she does a fantastic job of creating things with what she has on hand. I also used jewelry making wire to make the curled stems. I just wrapped the wire around a small brush handle.Lindy Stamp Challenge #3 PNG The butterfly is my favorite and for some reason this year I am loving them. I created this with a rubber stamp, using embossing ink and then Lindy’s Stamp Embossing Powder in Cosmic Pink Blue, I’m also loving embossing, all of these supplies are new to me since I just started scrapbooking since December.Lindy Stamp Challenge #2 PNG I also used from Tim Holtz, Idea-ology Wordbands for my sentiment that I attached with green cording. Its hard to read but says; “Capture Life’s Moments”Lindy Stamp Challenge # 1If you are into scrapbooking/cardmaking and would like to join in Lindy’s Stamp Gang Color Challenges scoot on over to her site to check out other entries and add yours too.
