How to Make Your Feet Soft and Beautiful With Dedication

Feet always need attention

There is an old saying that says that you can tell how well a person takes care of themselves by looking at their shoes. Saying this is doubly true if you can see how well a person takes care of their bare feet. Too many people underestimate the importance of feet. We need our feet to stand up, squat and jump, run, and walk. Every time we kneel or bend down to pick something up, we are using the sense of balance maintained by our mind, inner ear, and executed by our feet.

Take care of your feet and they will take care of you. They engage in a lot of activity that can wear them down and make them look unpresentable. Here are some tips to help you keep your feet feeling soft and looking beautiful.

Exfoliate Regularly

Regular activity, walking, and exercise promote the growth of dead skin cells and calluses on your feet. Removing dead skin cells and calluses will improve balance, stability when in motion, and blood circulation. Also, your feet will feel soft and look better. After you shower, or soak your feet for several minutes, gently clean them with soap or a mild cleansing wash.

Then gently scrub your heels, toes, and the bottom of your feet with a good pumice stone until your feet feel soft. Engage in this activity every day or every other day. If you soak your feet, don’t do so for too long. It will cause the skin on your feet to absorb water and strip away the natural oils in the skin.

Keep Your Feet Dry

After washing, swimming, or engaging in any activity that gets your feet wet, thoroughly dry your feet with a towel. Change your socks daily. If you wear the same socks regularly, you are just allowing sweat, bacteria, and fungus a chance to thrive on your feet. You can always apply a little bit of foot powder in your socks or shoes to help keep feet dry as you move.

Keep Your Feet Protected In Public Settings

If you are physically active, you may be accustomed to using public swimming pools or showers in the gym. Or, if you travel a lot, you may be used to using showers in hotels. Such places are communicable vectors for fungal, bacterial, and viral infections. Or communicable diseases. Especially the kinds that can affect the health and appearance of feet. Like nail fungus, athlete’s foot, and warts. Always wear clean flip flips or stretchable water shoes to keep your feet hygienically protected in such high public traffic areas.

Get A Pedicure

You can get regular pedicures from licensed professionals to help preserve the natural looks of your feet. A pedicure involves soaking your feet for a short while, gentle pumice stone scraping of callused skin and dead skin cells, as well as the clipping of toenails and cuticles. It’s a great, relaxing way to have your feet beatified by a professional.

Stay Dedicated

Taking care of your feet is a lifelong practice. Eat foods rich in calcium, which absorbed by the bones to keep them strong. Also eat foods rich in vitamin D, which aids the body in absorbing calcium. Wear the right shoe size, as wearing tight shoes can damage your feet. Wash your feet, keep them dry, and get pedicures to keep them soft and beautiful.
