Our thoughts and prayers go out to all those affected by the recent tornado in Moore Oklahoma!
Hello and welcome to Wordless Wednesday (not so wordless). I woke up Sunday, went out to the morning paper and discovered we had a mother mallard duck and 7 baby ducklings, visiting a spot of water in our front yard. I had seen a pair of mallards a week ago on our street, they usually hang out at a neighbors yard, however I am having a special visit. I decided Mamma needed a name so it is “Daisy”!
We figure they are about 3 days old at this point and are so cute and fluffy, they are very wobbly, almost fall onto their beaks when trying to balance. I am feeding them dry bread and bird seed, giving them water. They seem to like to sit in the water and from what I have read they should be about 5 weeks old before being introduced to a pond of water. I will keep taking more pictures in the days to come, so enjoy!
Update:
Today I am also featuring a new friend, her name is Robin and she has some amazing tips and tricks from WW II from her grandmother. I found her bouncing around over the weekend and love what she offers on her blog at Fluster Bluster
I also found a cute blog that I am liking and wanted to share “Cooking For The Seven Dwarfs”, cute name I thought. She is the only girl and a sister to six brothers and has 5 sister-in-laws. I like how she talks about her family and she loves to cook. You can read more here…….. Cooking For The Seven Dwarfs

Duckies, too cute. We had two adults in our yard for no apparent reason last week.
I love watching baby ducklings following the mama duck around. They always seem to lead them into strange place too, such as crossing the street or in a parking lot.
