The tree is almost 300 feet in height and is thought to be about 2700 years old making it one of the oldest trees in the world too.

Death Valley got its name because anyone venturing into it would probably not venture out again. It is known to be one of the most naturally hostile parts of the earth. However, there is a unique beauty to the valley as well. It is one of the hottest parts of the whole of the continental US, with record temperatures hitting about 134 Fahrenheit in Furnace Creek.

This is apparently the hottest temperature of air the earth has ever seen, hence the name given to the creek. If you go to Death Valley, stay in the shade at all times and only visit early in the morning when it is cooler. Always put on the sunscreen too, if you don’t want to come out looking like you just got barbecued.
