The Safest Places to Vacation in the US

When it comes to making the decision of where to go on vacation, there are many factors that should be considered. If you ever went online to get some help with this, you probably came across countless articles about places that are beautiful, interesting, and popular. However, one factor that is often overlooked is the safety of a destination. If you are traveling as a couple or with kids, that is the most important factor.

So today, we have a few destinations in the US that are safe, interesting, and just right for your next vacation.

Lake Placid, New York

Lake Placid is a nineteenth-century alpine town located in the Adirondack Park. This is the place that hosted two Winter Olympic Games. The surrounding nature is amazing and the town’s architecture is pristine. You will find beautiful examples of old buildings along Lake Placid’s Main Street, with its iconic Palace Theater serving as the main attraction. Walking around Mirror Lake is a great way to enjoy Lake Placid and spend some time before having a delicious meal at one of its many restaurants.

You should visit Lake Placid for its nature, outdoor activities, and historic attractions. You can take ski lessons along the Adirondack trails, go hiking or swimming depending on the time of the year you go there.

New York City, New York

This is probably the last city you expected to see on this list but NYC is actually pretty safe! Visiting New York has to be one of the most amazing experiences you can have. Although the city is generally safe, it still has some parts that are less so. The best thing you can do is use DMC New York programs to stay safe while exploring and visit the right places in a city that has so much to offer.

While there, you should definitely climb the Empire State Building, visit Lady Liberty, and go to at least one of its many museums. You can’t leave without having a walk through Central Park and catching a show on Broadway.
