Every now and again we all like to change our scenery at home. Whether it be a change of cushions, a new sofa, or a whole new design. You could spend hours scouring the web for beautiful designs, looking for the perfect color schemes and finding that statement piece of furniture. Did you know that the color of your bedroom can affect your life? It can be a very daunting task to redecorate your living space, and today we want to show you that it’s not as scary as it may seem. It can actually be a really fun experience as you let your creativity go wild.

It’s all about Preparation

Preparation is key to any successful project. Before you can begin to tackle the task of repainting and wallpapering, you must first scrape off the old design, move your furniture out of the way and make a full plan of how you want the space to look.

Clear Your Space

Whether you plan on just repainting the room and putting your furniture back in, or you want to get rid of your furniture and buy all new ones…You’ll need somewhere to place all of your belongings before you begin work. Storage Facilities are a great option because you can rent out the space as big as you need it, and if you are buying new items- you can store everything in one place until you are finished. It certainly makes life easier rather than stumbling over furniture crammed into every nook and cranny in your home.

Getting Down to Business

Once you’ve got everything ready, cleared your workspace and chosen your materials- you can get to work. If you are unsure of how to apply wallpaper or hang a picture frame:  YouTube is full to the brim of tutorials that you can utilize. And if your paint job is a little messy, you can buy tape to cover the edges of your walls and peel it off to reveal straight lines.

Another great tip is to use your family and friends for some extra help. With the promise of a good meal, your family and friends will be more than willing to give you an extra helping hand!

Finishing Touches

Once you’ve finished wallpapering and painting your walls, and you’ve laid down the carpet or wood floor…You can begin to assemble your masterpiece. It is always a good idea to have a sketch of your room before you start any design and to make sure that you’ve measured every wall and piece of furniture. With a layout in front of you, it will be much easier to get to work and transform your room into a masterpiece.

Adding in pieces of art and decorative vases can have a huge effect on the end product of your room. House plants are also a beautiful final touch that not only looks great but also cleans the air, so you feel fresh and healthy. Redecorating Its Actually Not As Hard As You Think
