Safety I can tell you after the long hours I spend with my laptop sitting on my legs, it is dangerous without protection as the heat and radiation from the battery in laptops is unsafe and everyone needs to have protection to be safe. I have seen photos where kids legs have been burned from the high heat that laptops create. So this is why I have chosen the Mobile LapDesk for my safety not to mention the stability it gives me while using my computer.
The LapDesk I chose is lightweight but provides me with a slip proof surface and has double bolster pads for comfort and balance.

I really like the Smart Media Desk™ Exec. I had no idea you could actually be burned from a laptop but it makes sense! Mine is always too hot. I could really use this!
Yes Juliana you can get burned, as I did. At first I just thought my leg was hot, but when I took a shower I saw my leg color had changed, when I research I found out this happens frequently.
