I belong to BzzAgent and this is a BzzCampaign that I recently received coupons to try Private Selections Mason Jar Desserts! I chose 2, “Chocolate Trio” and “Chocolate Ganache” as these were the only two flavors in my Kroger store had in stock. These are single serve and come frozen and are located in the bakery, (I had to ask the manager where to find them). There is no need to unfreeze or heat and can be eaten immediately!
The first I tired was the Trio, the first layer was a creamy milk chocolate, second layer was a white chocolate mousse layer that was on top of a rich, dark chocolate cake and there were chocolate curls on top. The Trio tasted great but to me this dessert was a little on the dry side. This dessert is rated 4 stars on Private Selection site
The second was the Chocolate Ganache, this jar dessert was a chocolate cake that was layered with chocolate ganache and a chocolate truffle mouse and topped with cake crumbles. Again this dessert was a little dry. I see on their site it has 4 stars.
There are other selections as well and I want to try the Cherry Crumble and
9 other fantastic flavors – Chocolate Ganache Cake, Chocolate Trio, Cherry Crumble, Salted Caramel Cheesecake, Peanut Butter Chocolate Brownie, Tiramisu, Apple Crumble, Peach Delight, Tres Leches and Mexican Hot Chocolate
If you are interested you can download a coupon to try them yourselves.
You also dont want to miss the Sweepstakes for a chance to win a chance to win a Summit® E-670™ LP Gas Grill from Weber®.
Summary: These little desserts would be great to take on picnics or added to a brown bag lunch, or served at home for guests. Their convenient, modestly priced, and you can repurpose the jar when the dessert is gone.
I was compensated in the form of 2 free dessert coupons from BzzAgent for the purpose of this product review.
