Research shows that consuming foods which are contaminated with organochlorines greatly interfere with the body’s natural ability to burn fat. Organochlorines are pesticides sprayed on food and when consumed, are stored up in fat cells. In this case, it is advisable to only eat organic foods as non-organic versions are reported to contain the highest levels of this pesticide.
