Home Series: Keep Your Home Beautiful

Home Series Keep Your Home Beautiful

Your home setting is a reflection of your personal style and taste, making it important to create a setting that is easy to relax in. Where you live will also determine how your guests perceive your lifestyle and interests. It doesn’t always have to be some major work, says Own It Detroit team. A few changes here and there might be all you need. To ensure that you keep your home beautiful in each season, there are a few important steps to take.

Add Plants

It’s important to incorporate a bit of greenery into the home to make space feel alive and warm. Hang a few plants in the kitchen or incorporate a fig leaf tree in the living room to add a natural color that can freshen up the setting. You can also add a bouquet of flowers on the dining table or in the bathrooms to brighten up each room and make it feel inviting.

Apply Wallpaper

Make your home stand out with wallpaper that will add extra detail in an entryway or in the living room. Although paint is commonly used on the walls, wallpaper creates a modern setting that will allow the home to look professionally decorated. You can even create an accent wall with the wallpaper to prevent it from overpowering the room and making it appear less spacious.

Install Light Fixtures

The lighting in your home is one of the most important parts of the decor that will determine the style of the interior of the property. Install a chandelier in the laundry room to dress it up or add a drum light fixture above the dining table to create a modern style that is sleek.

Make the Bed

You can make your home appear tidy and clean by making your bed each day when you want to keep your home beautiful on a continuous basis. This will allow you to show off your bedding and pillows to ensure that the bed contributes to the design of the home. You can also add a wood or an upholstered headboard to create a dramatic effect that allows the furniture item to work as one of the main focal points in the setting.

Use Mirrors

Dress up your home with plenty of mirrors, which will reflect natural light and will allow the home to appear brighter. You can add a mirror above a fireplace mantle or allow multiple mirrors to line a dim hallway to avoid having dark areas in the home.

And last but not least, keep it clean! You can even use a service like Handy.com (home cleaning NYC) if you need too.
