The Galette Story 3 comments

On a lazy Sunday and when I wanted a sweet treat for breakfast I decided to see what I could come up with some ingredients on hand, so easy peasy I used a can of crescent rolls frozen berries, sugar-free strawberry jam and a little dusting of powder sugar to finish.

Berry Crescent Rolls

You can see pretty easy…. un-package the rolls and I tired 2 ways I was going for a galette idea and then the more traditional croissant. The filling was easy, I spread some strawberry jam topped with frozen fruit and that is it. You can see not much room to work with so it didn’t take much to fill either the croissant or the galette. Of course, most galette’s are made using a pie crust dough but I was going for the look but more for the sweet taste of berries.

We have had some wonderful recipes shared in our linky parties that look delicious but I have never tried one…yet. Here it is
