I have joined Tim Holtz 12 Tags of 2014 Challenges and each month I will try and participate. Not only do they offer products and a discount prices but some fun new techniques.  hashtag #12tagsof2014 Once tags are created they offer uploading them into inlinkz to share creations.

So with that said, I wanted to explain my tag. Since some of my favorite color combinations are red and black I created this tag first by using Tim Holtz Distress stain on my tag, then imprinting tiny hearts using embossing powders, Tim Holtz idea-ology Tissue Tapes, using Sizzix heart die I cut the small hearts added foam to the back to give them dimension, Darci border folder 1217-76, using paper I painted metallic silver for the bottom border, black card stock for the black board effect with stamped sentiment and embossed. For the leaves, I used Sizzlits 656064 leaves and flowers die and I punched tiny red glitter hearts for further embellishing my tag. And to add more layer and texture I painted punchella in metallic silver to add touches here and there and I used red ink to distress the edges finishing with red chiffon ribbon, eyelash yarn and black trim on the border.
