Whether it is a quick appetizer whenever you friends pay a visit to your home or serve it as the main entry to wow your family, the simple yet full-filling meatballs have been a much-appreciated kitchen creation all over the world.
Imagine the Swedish meatballs or the Italian spaghetti that has always been enhanced with meatballs. Even in China, they always use meatballs in soups and other dishes.
There’s no reason why you should not love meatballs; it’s one of the best party-ready finger food. Hence, I’m going to share with you a favorite easy meatball recipe.

Ingredients
- 20 ounces lean ground beef
- 2 large eggs
- ½ cup breadcrumbs, preferably Italian seasoned
- ½ cup finely minced green pepper
- ½ cup finely chopped onion
- ½ cup shredded then minced carrot
- ¾ cup milk
- 2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
- Fresh ground black pepper and salt to taste
Instructions
- Heat the olive oil in a saucepan
- Add the garlic and onion; toss it well until it turns soft and light brown.
- Slice the tomatoes and add to the onion mixture including its juice.
- Add the salt, pepper and sugar to season the mixture.
- Cook the tomatoes without covering them until it softens or for about 30 minutes.
- Place the meatballs in an oven-safe dish and fill it with the sauce. Top everything with grated mozzarella. Place it under preheated grill to melt the cheese.
Tomato Sauce for Meatballs
This easy meatball recipe is best served when hot, together with your favorite sauce. There are a lot of exciting ways to eat meatballs, and there are plenty easy side dishes that can go with this recipe; just be creative and try to experiment.
I will share with you my favorite tomato sauce that I always pair with meatballs.
Ingredients:
2 cans (14 ounces) of tomatoes
5 ounces of grated fresh mozzarella
¾ cup finely chopped onions
3 tbsp. olive oil
1 clove garlic, crushed
1 tsp. sugar
Fresh ground black pepper and salt
Preparation:

- Slice the tomatoes and add to the onion mixture including its juice.
- Add the salt, pepper and sugar to season the mixture.
