What do New Years Goals mean to you and how long do they last?
I found a few quotes from some classic women I admire via Verily
To kick off a new year of possibilities . . .
“I never lose sight of the fact that just being is fun.”
—Katharine Hepburn
“Carry out a random act of kindness, with no expectation of reward, safe in the knowledge that one day someone might do the same for you.”
—Princess Diana
For tackling those big goals this year . . .
“My father had a very simple view on life: You don’t get anything for nothing. Everything has to be earned, through work, persistence, and honesty.”
—Grace Kelly
“Nothing is impossible; the word itself says ‘I’m possible’!”
—Audrey Hepburn
To inspire resiliency in the coming months . . .
“If you rest, you rust.”
—Helen Hayes
“This has always been a motto of mine: Attempt the impossible in order to improve your work.”
—Bette Davis
I’m not one to commit to setting goals at the new year on all the things that need to be done at the beginning of the year to start with a clean slate of sorts; however, with so much adversity in the world today I’m feeling I want to give back in some way to help and feel being kind and charitable is what I’m striving for.
Please ~ Thank you ~ Pardon Me and being complimentary might be small things but it is amazing the response that you get. I’ve been experimenting even with kids when I am out and about shopping or running errands. You can tell if they have been taught manners. With that said my favorite quote above is from Princess Diana; “Carry out a random act of kindness, with no expectation of reward, safe in the knowledge that one day someone might do the same for you.”!
See I dont mind holding a door for anyone or picking up something someone drops, or reaching for something on a shelf or helping unload a shopping cart at the register, or taking a cart when someone is finished loading groceries into their car. Or picking up a newspaper and taking it to the front door for my neighbor are just a few ideas I try and do. I love helping people and these little things dont cost a dime, just a little time!
So tell me, what are your feelings on setting goals, do you write them out, put them on a calendar, make post-it- notes or a planner? What goals have you chosen for 2019 maybe something you have been putting off or something new you want to do in this new year? Let’s have a conversation.

Thank you Shelley, I really try and find those little ways to help, it only takes a few minutes sometimes or even kind words can make a person day!
