Power sockets are important features of any home, but they are easy to forget, during a building project. When the property is being designed, you need to think about the devices and appliances that will be used in each room, and where you will need power sockets to be positioned as a result. You do not want to end up in a situation where power sockets are on the other side of the room from where they are needed.

Doors that have space to open 

It may sound obvious that you need to be able to fully open all of the doors in your home. But, you would be surprised at how often this consideration is overlooked. Some property designs include space for a door to be located, but neglect to take account of the fact that there needs to be space around the door, so that it can be opened fully.

The importance of the punch list

You should never neglect to complete a punch list for a building project. Once the project is nearing completion, you should complete a walkaround with the contractor and identify any work that needs to be completed for the contract to be fulfilled. It’s usual for the payment of the final balance of monies due to only be paid when all the work is completed and the punch list is signed off.

Neglecting any of these considerations can have an adverse effect on the completion of a building project. If you want your home to be as you envisaged it, you do not want this to happen. So, you need to make sure that none of these points are overlooked.
