5 Beach Beauty Tips
If you’re headed to the beach, you need to be prepared. While most people prepare by packing enough food and drink, there’s more to it than that. You need to prepare your hair and skin for the exposure to the sun, wind, and salt. Here are a few tips to get you ready for to hit the beach.
- Use a lip stain
Lip gloss is a big no-no for the beach. It tends to melt and get goopy in the hot sun. To prevent runny lips, opt for a lip stain. The stain can last longer in the exposure to sun and water. Without it, you may need to reapply lipstick very frequently.
Another problem at the beach is dry lips. If you opt for a stain that comes with a lip balm on one end of it, you can moisturize your chapped lips.
2.Waterproof your eyes
Nothing is worse than raccoon eyes. And if you wear regular mascara to the beach, that’s exactly what happens. But you don’t have to be afraid of the water. Waterproof your eyes by wearing a waterproof mascara. When someone splashes your face, you won’t need to run for cover.
- Wear the right deodorant
Let’s face it. The beach is hot. And no matter how much you hate to admit it, the heat makes you sweat. A trip to the beach calls for some heavy duty deodorant. Look for one that lasts for a long time. However, avoid one that leaves unsightly marks on your underarms. It might be hard for people to notice your new bathing suit when you have white streaks everywhere.
- Use a skin soother
After your trip to the beach, your skin may need some soothing. There are several products designed to soothe skin after exposure to the elements. A few key ingredients you may want to look for are cucumber, aloe vera, and mint. Be sure to find a product that is known for hydrating or moisturizing effects on your skin.
The sun and wind can be harsh on your skin. If you don’t use something to soothe your skin, you may do damage to it. Prevent dry skin and damage by using an effective skin soother. Your skin will thank you for it.
- Skip the perfume
At the beach, perfume just doesn’t last. But that doesn’t mean that you need to skip the scent. You can bring essential oil with you to the beach. Place a drop on each wrist and a couple of drops on your neck. The scent should last for awhile. When it starts to disappear, reapply. You don’t have to worry about your perfume disappearing too quickly, or about your scent scaring away any neighboring beach-goers.
Some people hesitate to get to the beach because it’s too far to travel there. But it doesn’t have to be. Consider living on the beach for fun in the sun every day of the week. Check out www.oceanfronthhi.com/condos/ for listings. And don’t forget to follow these beauty tips.
