This particular clothing also looks great on little girls. Gone are the days when you could satiate the fashion thirst of your little daughter with a cute red silk, velvet or cotton ghagraa. Now things have changed a lot, and the influence of TVs and daily soaps, fashion shows, movie stars and celebs too prominent on the fashion parades of the youngsters. Thus, you sometimes love to, and sometimes are inclined to follow the trend, and bring home a trendy and fashionable lehenga for your little one.

The kids’ lehenga design

Just because the lehenga has been made for the kids, it does not mean that it will have a compromised structure. The basic design of the attire remains the same for both women and children. This three piece garment comes with a choli or blouse, lehenga and a dupatta. The kids lehenga contains the same parts with all the variety in style and cut, as is done for the adult sized lehengas.

The lehenga for attending wedding or parties

Lehengas are the perfect wedding attire for little girls. The dupatta can be flaunted in so many styles, pinned to the choli in many ways, and the wide bottom lehenga whirls in the air as the girl rotates with her favorite music or plays with other kids.

Once your little one gets accustomed to carrying a lehenga for a few hours, you may buy a designer lehenga for her in the next big wedding you are to attend. Girls feel special when they are dressed in the same way as their mother, aunts, elder sisters etc. If your daughter is below the age of five, you may buy a light weight lehenga for the girl as her first experience with the dress must be comfortable.

Choose the brightest shades for her

When you are selecting a lehenga for your child, and that too for her to wear it to a wedding party, never go for light colors. Though light colors look great on all ages, kids love bright ones. They love bright pinks, reds, oranges, greens, purples and magenta shades which give them a bright look.

Have her practice a little with her lehenga at home

While girls get quickly accustomed to a new style, and start carrying it with expertise, you won’t want to take chances with your child. Help her learn the art of carrying the dupatta and lifting the lehenga with her hands as she walks swiftly or runs through up stairs so that she never trips on the floor or falls down. You should have her walk and move gracefully in the dress at home. Practicing will help her stay confident at any event or wedding.
