Well I get to take you back in time to when the most widely used word “Mason” is used on the internet, I think anyway, maybe its because I have a passion or an attraction to anything that is “Mason Jar”, whether it is something canned as I used to do, jars made into the most beautiful crafts from chandeliers, wedding favors, make solar lights, turned into planters, flower vases, painted, mod podge, covered with fabric, decorated with lace, appliqued, covered with lace, lets not forget storing dry foods and canned, if I see them any where or on Pinterest, you name it, if I see it, I love it, I pin it, to my Mason Jar board devoted to beautiful creations and pretty bottles too (a whole other craft)!  You’ve have seen them on Pinterest, right?Collage for Mason Jar Lifestyle

Her’s my board for you to browse and I would love for you to follow. Check it out, find things you like and Re-Pin Them!!

Vintage Mason Jars

Did you know that the original Mason Jars were created by a tin smith in 1892, and are known by Mason, Kerr, or Ball Jar’s or just canning jars? All created at that time to help preserve foods for long periods of time. If your early interested in more history check out Wikipedia/Mason Jar

Ok now since I am talking about Pinterest this brings me to the reason for my Mason Jar post, it seems that my Pinterest Board caught the interest of Maggie Helseth, she first approached me to be added so she could share other mason jar items and I was happy to oblige her and added her immediately. Then I was curious, was she as interested in Mason Jars as me, so I emailed her to ask her a few things, do you have a blog and she tells me, “I have a blog as well as a shop selling accessories to re-purpose Mason jars into all kinds of fun things!”.

The Review Offer: Well, what came next was a surprise, she ask me if she could send ‘me’ some things from her store to write a review about her fun website and she didn’t have to twist my arm, I jumped at the chance, who wouldn’t, right? She said, “I’d love to send you a few products if you might be interested in reviewing them on your blog; check out Mason Jar Lifestyle and let me know if anything interests you”! Well what could be better, I met someone with the love of these little ancient jars and she sells accessories too!!! Happy dance!!  I went off to visit her little store and I was impressed!

So now I get to share the fun things she sent me with you!!! Hope You’ll Pin A Few!

Pinco Mason Jars

Here’s just a few ideas I found and I have Pinned on My Mason Jar Board!

My Story: I used to use mason jars, years ago and when my kids were young, I canned lots of food as it was a way to provide my family with good nutritious food without preservatives and saved me oodles of money with a family of 6 on a budget. I would can tomatoes, pickled beets, dilly beans, peaches, pears, and make make salsa, fruit jams and jellies, applesauce and apple butter. And we would always use everything by the next canning season. Now look at the little Mason Jar workhorse, it has taken on a whole different life. Look at all those cute ideas, candle holders, storage ideas, pincushions, you name it!!

Loved it!! Karren, this is such a cute post…the red and white check caught my eye and then I saw #MasonJars and could not click to it fast enough!! I love all of the different lids that can give any mason jar an entirely new purpose. I have to admit, my favorite one is a lid that makes a mason jar into a cocktail shaker!! I really love co-hosting with you at #OMHGWW and seeing all of the interesting things that you write about! Thank you for sharing your wonderful creativity with us at Friday Favorites!
